It was very satisfying to read that Moore County was leading all the counties in the Cape Fear region (12 counties) in the SAT tests.

Not only was Moore leading in this region, it was leading the state and the country. The data covered a three-year period, so it was obvious that those results didn't happen overnight.

Perhaps it might be in order to recognize the work former Superintendent Pat Russo did was instrumental in this improvement, and he wasn't quite the devil as he was personified.
