Poplar Springs Baptist Church will celebrate Grandparents’ Day next Sunday with an all-day service.
Apostle Hoover Benymon and his church congregation at Crusade of Christ Deliverance Church will render service on Friday, Sept. 24, at 7:30 p.m. All proceeds will benefit the community center.
A Disaster Awareness program, covering everything from severe weather to fire will be held next Tuesday, Sept. 28, at 7 p.m. at the Pinebluff Fire Station. There will be various emergency agencies on hand to answer questions.
Cranie Clegg, a pastor and evangelist, will hold a dynamic faith clinic every third Sunday at noon and at 4 p.m. at the Holiday Inn Bordeaux, 1707 Owen Drive in Fayetteville.

Frye’s Chapel will hold regular worship service Sunday with Elder Kent McMillian as pastor. About 125 people attended the 99-year homecoming celebration last Sunday.
Among those in attendance were Mack Burns; the Rev. Jake McLean, grandson of the late George McLean; Mary Brown of Fayetteville; Elder Donnie Hughley and Curtis Worthy, both of Park Chapel in Fayetteville; Tommy Hart; and church members of Fletcher Chapel in Hoffman. The speakers were the former pastor, Dr. K.P. Johnson of Fayetteville, and the Rev. Henry Blue, pastor of Fletcher Chapel.
Geron and Karen Fairley Ryden and sons, Griffen and Trent, of Garner and Allen Fairley, who is stationed at Fort Bragg, and daughter Kyra visited Elizabeth Fairley on Sunday. They also attended the homecoming celebration.

A mortgage burning was held at Macedonia Baptist Church on Sunday. The Revs. Roosevelt and Gertrude Davis of Laurinburg were the guest speakers. The Rev. McDougald, his mother and several family members attended the all-day service.
Bible study will be held on Wednesday at 7 p.m. A shut-in service will be held Friday from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m.
A road cleanup is set for Saturday with everyone meeting at the Town Hall for order, then returning for refreshments.

There will be a missionary service at St. Ruth United Church of God in West End, where the pastor is Lillian Kearns.

The Taylortown Teen 4-H Club was established Saturday, Sept. 18.
The officers are Michael Hall, president; Sandy Gaddy Jr., vice president; Justin Gaddy, secretary, and Suavé Cain, reporter. The next meeting will be held at Galilee Missionary Baptist Church on Saturday, Oct. 9 at 10 a.m.
