Local Residents Pack the House For Arc Event
The Arc of Moore County sponsored a tea and fashion show on Friday, Sept. 10. More than 150 people attended to enjoy assorted tea sandwiches, scones and clotted cream and other desserts.
Marcy Cooper on flute and Karen Sellers on violin provided background music. The narrator was Katie Fam, minister of preschoolers and children at First Baptist Church of Southern Pines.
Seven boutiques participated and provided more than 40 fashions altogether: Special Things, Morgan Miller, isarose, Monkee’s, Filly’s, Denker Dry Goods and Eve Avery. This was all to benefit The Arc of Moore County, a private non-profit, United Way agency providing services and support to individuals with developmental disabilities and their families.
