Advice From Bypass Veteran
Since Bill Clinton’s bypass surgery (heart), many articles have been written. All the articles have merits. I had open-heart bypass surgery 23 years ago.
What I feel was the most helpful in keeping my heart healthy the 23 years was discipline; eat the right foods, exercise, weight control, and keep blood pressure and cholesterol levels in line. One of the main preventions is no smoking. I feel that if I keep a positive attitude and maintain discipline, I will be around for another 23 years.
