Let me tell you the rest of the story:
Gulistan mailed a notice to all retirees of Gulistan Carpets advising them all life insurance coverage for eligible retirees was terminated after Aug. 28. These policies go back to the ‘50s, ‘60s, ‘70s and ‘80s.
This insurance was a big part of the retirement package for most employees.
This is a sad day for the many loyal employees that made Gulistan successful for so many years. I doubt many Gulistan retirees will find much life insurance at their ages, especially those 60 and older.
