I watched the news and saw Sen. John Edwards in Robbins formalizing his candidacy for the Democrat presidential nomination. Among other things, he spoke about the damage special interest groups are doing to this country.

I would like to see some journalist, any journalist, ask the senator if he believes the trial lawyers comprise one of these special interest groups. I detect a degree of hypocrisy from the senator since a very large part of his campaign funds have come from this group, which I believe is a special interest group if I ever saw one, and one that has as much to do with the high cost of health care as some of the ones the senator wants to curtail.
