West Davidson Holds Mustangs Scoreless
BY GEORGE LAWTHER: Special to The Pilot
The North Moore High School football team traveled to West Davidson High School on Friday night and came away on the short end of a 34-0 score.
West Davidson scored three touchdowns and a field goal in the first half and led by a score of 24-0 at the intermission. In the second half they added a touchdown and a field goal. It was the second game in a row that the Mustangs were held scoreless.
“They had a strong team,” Mustang coach Willis Barrett said. “We did some good things. Jason Morgan ran the ball well against them, and played an outstanding game on defense, but he got beat up quite a bit, and we had to take him out in the fourth quarter.”
The Mustangs’ record is now 0-4, all against non-conference opponents. North Moore plays South Stanly at home next Friday.
