I missed the full-page Ad referenced by News & Observer writer Steve Ford (The Pilot, May 25). It must have been a good one because it was mentioned again in the News & Observer today.

Most of the media does not seem to understand that people in North Carolina –– Democrats, independents and Republicans –– are, for the most part, moderately conservative. If they were not, how did Jesse Helms stay in office so long?

Sen. John Edwards votes with the far left, and Edwards says whatever he thinks will get the jury on his side.

If his next election depends on my Democratic vote, there will be a hung jury.
