Black a Little Late
Former Moore County Board of Educ-ation Chairwoman Sue Black says it’s the school board’s responsibility to let the public know what is needed for their children’s education. May I suggest the school board let the public know how it is spending the money it receives.
While Black was a member of the school board, her main focus appeared to be on contracts and raises for the superintendent, and this was noticed by many during the last election. If Black had placed that much attention on technology, there would be computers on every student’s desk.
Maybe I am somewhat hard on her. However after all those years on the board, she suddenly knows of things that need to be fixed that were not fixed during her time on the board.
Some say hindsight is much better than foresight, but where were these concerned parents when Black was in the driver’s seat? Wake up, folks. Call someone who cares and will do something except give advice. That water’s over the dam, and money will not bring it back.
