Children’s Center a Blessing

I’m writing this letter to express my appreciation to the staff of the Sandhills Children’s Center and the Early Childhood Intervention services.

People never really think that they may need these services, and they surely don’t think about the time, effort and heart that go into these services for children with special needs until they are a recipient of these services.

We are so blessed and fortunate to have a place like the Sandhills Children’s Center in our area, and even more important, we are fortunate to have such a wonderful staff — from administration to teachers to therapists to volunteers. I’m also thankful to those in the community who spend their time and resources to help sustain and ensure the growth of the Sandhills Children’s Center.

I know it is the job of the staff of the Sandhills Children’s Center to care for children with special needs; it’s their livelihood. But they go over and beyond their job description. They truly love and care for these children, and because they go the extra mile — well, that’s what makes them so wonderful, and that’s what makes the difference in the lives of children with special needs and their families.

Take the time to learn more about the special services in our area. You never know when you may need them. And take the time to say, “Thank you.” It does make a difference.
