Vultures Circling Phipps

I just cannot believe your editorial concerning Megg Phipps. The editorial stated that Phipps “is of course entitled to a presumption of innocence.”

Excuse me! A “presumption of innocence?”

What happened to one is innocent until proven guilty? Phipps at this time is innocent, so why should she resign? To resign would be an act of guilt, and she would never live that down.

If federal investigators want her to be found guilty, then they should work for it and prove it. Meanwhile the governor and media should leave the commissioner alone.

It is very hard to be efficient and fulfill the duties of your job when vultures are pecking at your skull.
