Elections for Moore County commissioners are coming up, and all I hear is vote for me or for my friend. I’m disappointed. It would have been much nicer to hear what the candidates have in mind to improve the quality of life for this county’s residents while keeping the cost under control.

How will they support the good work being done by the schools and the community college? Is water on the agenda? How can we get more good- paying jobs into town and reduce unemployment?

Please, no more airport nonsense, sacred cows or wasteful spending on inconclusive studies. Wow me with real leadership.
