Assault on Freedom

Under the campaign finance reform proposal passed by the U.S. Senate, we as United States citizens will lose our right to speak out during the last 60 days of a general election campaign unless we delete any mention of politicians. Incumbent politicians love this idea because they don’t like being criticized by grassroots groups like the National Rifle Association.

The media would be exempt from this restriction. It would give unprecedented political power to the big media conglomerates that have been trying for years to destroy our Second Amendment rights.

To enforce this political gag order on the citizens of this great country, the campaign finance bill creates a massive federal speech police, with the power to investigate, arrest and imprison any citizen for five years. Will you stand in silence as the destruction of our First Amendment takes place, or will you stand in the name of freedom and fight. To fight, pickup your pen and paper and write to your congressmen and senators and urge them to fight as hard as possible to defeat the campaign finance reform proposals contained in S. 27 and H.R. 380.

Free speech: Use it or lose it.
