Say No to a Lottery

In February, two columnists in The Pilot gave their opposing views on a North Carolina state lottery.

I do not have a columnist degree but I do have authority to speak for God’s people.

I do not support columnist Andy Thomas’ reasons for wanting a North Carolina lottery. I believe a lottery would do a lot more damage than good to our public schools. The urge to gamble can be as addictive as alcohol or tobacco.

I agree wholeheartedly with Mr. D.G. Martin that we must go to battle to save not only our children but our nation from destruction.

Do we take our stand for truth and righteousness or do we go along with the forces of evil that are trying to destroy us and our nation?

Let’s follow Mr. Martin’s advice to stand on principles of right and fight as we never fought before. In God we Trust is our slogan.
