Participated as Individual

I appreciate the coverage The Pilot gave the Martin Luther King birthday march and program of Jan. 21.

Sara Lindau reported the events in an honest and straightforward manner. However, I would like to set the record straight on one matter: I participated in the march and program as an individual and not representing the Republican Party. I am a Republican, but I was there on my own behalf. I am a life member of the NAACP and a life member of the West Southern Pines Civic Club.

Again, thank your for the coverage.
