The 2005 Gallery Express, a self-guided tour offered to explore the diversity of art in downtown Southern Pines, is held the first Friday of every month from 6 to 9 p.m. during the months of March through November. Participating galleries include Gaslight Gallery, Gap Creek Candle Company, Chanticleer, Artist Alley, David Nicoll Photography, Framer’s Cottage, Hair Biz @ the Cottage salon, A Southern Studio, Joy of Art studio and the Campbell House Galleries of the Arts Council of Moore County. Also participating are downtown restaurants including Aqua, The Wine Cellar and Tasting Room, Java, Chef Warren’s and The Grey Ghost.
