Historical Association Antiques Show Set

The 44th Annual Antiques Show, sponsored by Moore County Historical Association, will be held at the Fair Barn Nov. 5-7 in cooperation with Pinehurst Parks and Recreation Department. A variety of dealers from up and down the east coast — some returning from previous years, some participating for the first time — will be exhibiting such items as furniture, silver, fine china and elegant glassware, porcelain, vintage linens, primitives, rugs, and estate jewelry.

Throughout all three days Barton Crystal Repair of Lancaster, S.C., will be on hand to make repairs on chipped glass and crystal items.

Bill and Mary Gozzi of Southern Pines are serving as honorary chairmen of the Antiques Show this year.

Those who would like to get an early look at the visiting vendors’ wares may attend a special preview party set for 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 4. Preview partygoers will be served wines and a varied selection of hors d’oeuvres. Tickets are $25 each and will be available at the door; however, advance tickets are recommended and may be obtained by calling MCHA office (910) 692-2051.

Admission is $5 each day of the event. Show hours are Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m.

This event is the major fund-raiser for Moore County Historical Association and proceeds are used to present historic programs throughout the year and maintain five historic houses, all listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
