However, the longer I listened, the more I realized that we were getting more of the same old lip service he has given us all along. His message came across as: “Trust me, I know what I’m doing … and don’t pay any attention to that man behind the curtain.”
Secondly, I was very impressed with Kerry and the valid points he made about the current administration’s mistakes in handling the “war on terror.” Mr. Kerry came across as intelligent, thoughtful, and a leader that is willing to be a part of the “world community.”
Finally, I was amused with Bush’s reaction to Mr. Kerry’s comments on how Bush and his administration have mis-handled the “war on terror.” I thought that Bush was either going to slug Kerry or he was going to stalk off stage in a rage.
Kerry is correct in asserting that you can condemn a war without condemning the warrior. He is also right when he said that he can build a better coalition than we now have. Bush has isolated America with his chest beating. The rest of the world is afraid of this “terrorist ant hill” stirred by the Bush administration, and they, too, want to see and participate in a real effort to stop terrorism!
As for me, I’m voting for Kerry!
