Vikings Sweep Trinity in Cross Country
The Union Pines boys’ and girls’ cross country teams won at Trinity on Wednesday.
Dominique Andrews won in a season best time of 20:29 as the Viking girls improved their record to 4-1 in conference meets. She was followed by teammates LeAnne Ferrell, third, Bonnie MacDonald, fourth, Ana Maria Quiros, fifth, and Lauren Huff, sixth. The Viking team score was 19 to 37 for the home team.
The Viking boys edged the Bulldogs 27 to 30 to move to 2-3 in league races. Vikings Blake Boyd and Mike Gigas took first and second with times of 17:21 and 17:53, respectively. |
