George D. Bingaman Jr.
George D. Bingaman Jr., 75, of Whispering Pines, died Monday (Dec. 26, 2005) at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst.
A memorial service will be held Friday (today) at 2 p.m. at Sandhills Assembly of God with the Rev. Bryan Rainbow officiating.
Mr. Bingaman was born in Windber, Pa., to the late George and Anna Klena Bingaman Sr. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean conflict. He worked as a welder and welding inspector for many years with Esso International. He retired to the Sandhills in 1997.
Mr. Bingaman is survived by his wife, Malsoon Bingaman; his sons, Steve Bingaman of Budd Lake, N.J., and Fred Bingaman and his wife, Laurie, of Petoskey, Mich.; his daughters, Karol Crowley and her husband, Ben, of Hopatcong, N.J., and Janis Bingaman of Philadelphia, Pa; his brothers, Matthew Bingaman of Ligonier, Pa., and John Bingaman of Erlanger, Ky.; and six grandchildren. He is also survived by his first wife, Olive Gill Bingaman of Budd Lake, N.J.
