Book Signing
The Country Bookshop in downtown Southern Pines will host Dr. Robert H. Ramey, popular Presbyterian minister/professor, who will present his newest book, “Rocky Bear Meets Jesus,” a collection of stories about his “neighbor” Rocky, the bear who delights children in Dr. Ramey’s well-known children’s sermons. Ramey will be at the bookshop on Tuesday, Nov. 29, at 4:30 p.m.

SCORE Concert
Moore Children of SCORE announces its Christmas Concert Thursday, Dec. 1, at 7 p.m. using strings, choral, Orff and recorders, children ages 8-12 present a Christmas concert unlike any in Moore County. SCORE invites the community to attend this free concert to be held in the auditorium at Pinehurst Elementary. For information, call Marci Houseman at 944-5057.
Annual Carols
Carols at Weymouth will be held Thursday, Dec. 1, at 5:30 and 7:30 p.m. Begin the holiday season with music, poetry, refreshments. The event is open to the community, but space is limited. Call 692-6261 for information.

Christmas Parade
The Robbins Christmas Parade, sponsored by the Robbins Rescue Squad, will be held on Thursday, Dec. 1, at 6 pm. Parade begins at the Robbins First Wesleyan Church parking lot where registrations will be accepted until 6 p.m. Entry categories are marching bands, church floats, civic floats, organizational/business floats, antique vehicles, street legal vehicles and battery-operated vehicles. Dickens Holiday
Downtown Fayetteville hosts a Victorian-style Christmas with “A Dickens Holiday” on Friday, Nov. 25, from 1 to 9 p.m. The day ends with a candlelit procession to The Market House to light downtown for the holiday season. The Arts Council of Fayetteville and Cumberland County is the sponsor.
