Toys for Tots Announces Dropoff Sites

In 2003 The Marine Corps League, Sandhills Area Detachment 1001, delivered thousands of toys to churches, schools, Moore County Social Services and many other organizations in need.

Around Nov. 20, containers for dropping off toys will be found at the following locations: Wal-Mart, Bill Smith Ford, The Little Toy Shop, Lowe’s Foods, Eckerd’s, Dominos Pizza, Southern Pines Feed Store, Gold’s Gym, VFW, Marine Corps Recruiting, Beefeaters, Goodyear, Audibel Hearing Solutions, Carthage Farm Supply, Jewels Of Pinehurst, Haircutters, North Moore Football Team, Toyota, Wachovia Securities, J.B. Short Carpet One, Bill Smith Ford Used Cars Rt. 1, and Nissan.

Additional toys will be donated by the Pinehurst Members Club, The Club of Longleaf, The Holly Inn, Pinehurst No. 7 and The Broad Street Bar & Grill.

“Please join the Marines in supporting the Toys for Tots / Program,” said John E. Hess, chairman of the Toys for Tots 2004 campaign. “The last day for dropping off toys is Dec. 21. We need new toys and ask that you do not wrap them. We hope this year will be as successful as last year.”

Call 295-2198 for information on donations.
