Christian Home Educators of the Sandhills (CHES) presents “A Matinee of Music”, featuring homeschool students, grades K-12, in a one-hour recital program, on Sunday, Dec. 7, 3 p.m.

Slated to appear is a chamber orchestra, a 20-voice choir, a string quartet, a harp solo and a harp trio, a flutist, guitarist and pianists.

“Usher in the Christmas season with holiday music, and religious and classical selections, that will inspire the soul,” said a spokesman.

This event will be held at Community Evangelical Church, 387 W. Pennsylvania Avenue, in Southern Pines.
