The two groups plan to present the event, The Christmas Concert at the Fair Barn, on Saturday, Dec. 6 from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Cost is $20 per person.
Performing classical and traditional Christmas music, will be The Carolina Brass, a national touring ensemble.
“They love audience interaction and along with the music, you’ll hear fun and historic facts,” says a spokesman. “And what could be better at the holidays than singing along to the sounds of trumpets, trombones and tubas.”
This is The Carolina Brass’ first performance in the Sandhills area, according to the event committee.
Tickets went on sale Nov. 1 and are available at the library, the Village Hall in Pinehurst, The Potpourri in Pinehurst and the Country Book Shop in Southern Pines. Profits go to support the operation of the library, Tufts Archives, both non-profit operations.
