The Patriots (1-1) got off to an awful start, falling behind the last year’s state semifinalists by 23-4 at the end of the first quarter.
The home team was led by juniors Satara Cain with seven points and Tiffany Sealy with six.
Patriot coach Keith Spencer said that the Yellow Jackets (2-1) are where he wants to be as a program in three years.
“Our girls put themselves in position, but we’re not finishing plays like they (Lee) are,” he said. “In the third and fourth quarter, we started making some plays we hadn’t made before.”
Monday, Pinecrest travels to Purnell Swett for a 6 p.m. rematch against the Rams. The Patriots defeated the Rams 52-30 at home last Tuesday.
