Seven Lakes Business Guild Holds Expo

The annual Seven Lakes Business Guild Expo was held Saturday, May 20, at the Seven Lakes business plaza.

Under sunny skies, a large contingent of local businesses and civic groups displayed their wares, disseminated information about their endeavors, and offered a wide assortment of freebies to what organizers called a disappointingly small crowd.

Eighteen local businesses donated door prizes for the drawing. Winners who haven’t claimed their prizes can do so at Phoenix Fashions.

A Greensboro folk rock band and West End’s own Blue Horizon bluegrass band entertained the crowd.

Phoenix Fashions provided free refreshments, and Seven Lakes offered popcorn, giving the event a fair-like quality.

The Foxfire Police Depart-ment Humvee and Tim Niewald’s classic Mustang were on display.

Business Guild President Phil Cook of Carolina Car Care, Rick Harris of Harris Printing, Fred Sueffert of the Property Center and Darrell Marks of Phoenix Fashions all joined forces to man the Business Guild tent and make sure every attendee got registered for door prizes and a cool drink.

Guild members who contributed door prizes were Optical Solutions, Phoenix Fashions, Carolina Car Care, Harris Printing, Pizza Café, Napa Auto Care at Seven Lakes, Seven Lakes Body Image, Seven Lakes Massage and Body Therapies, Bullet Marketing, Seven Lakes Country Club, Beacon Ridge Country Club, Moore Delights Personal Chef Service, and Jubilee Screen Printing. A list of winners is posted at Phoenix Fashions.

The Guild thanked everyone who participated.

Information about Guild membership and upcoming events can be obtained from any Guild member or by calling Cook at 673-2277.
