Cape Fear Schedules Summer Drama Camps
The Studio, CFRT’s Performing Arts Education Program, announces registration for 2006 Summer Drama Camps.
This summer the Studio will be offering two two-week camp sessions which focus on the workshopping and rehearsal of a Disney Kids musical. Each session culminates in a free public performance for family and friends. Campers will rotate between acting, dance, and music classes with games, choreography, and songs to prepare for their performance of Disney’s The Jungle Book Kids. Fee includes Disney’s “The Jungle Book Kids Student Book,” a rehearsal CD, daily snack, and camp T-shirt. Classes are held at CFRT, 1209 Hay St., Fayetteville.
Faculty members include: Karen Masotti (camp director) Ashley Wells (music), Monica Autry (dance).
Registration continues through June 7. Call 910-323-4234. Fee is due at time of registration (cash, check made payable to “CFRT,” Mastercard or Visa accepted.) Advance registration is required.
The first session for ages 7-16 will be held from June 12-23 from Monday through Friday. The performance will be held Friday, June 23, at 6 p.m.
The second session, also for ages 7-16, will be held Mondays through Fridays, July 17-28. The performance will be Friday, July 28, at 6 p.m.
Fees are $210 per session. There is a $30 discount for each additional child or session. Limited Financial Aid available. Extended registration if needed with $5 late fee.
There is a special one-week session for younger campers ages 5 to 8 July 31-Aug. 4. The fee is $85.
