Funds raised from the benefit go to scholarships, Friend to Friend, the Sandhills Coalition for Human Care and to the rescue squads for Pinehurst and Seven Lakes.
Models included Donna Dacre and Lois Garcia, who wore fashions from Belk; Pat Groseth and Doris Hoffman, whose selections came from Carriage House; Joan Frost and Gladys Knight, who chose fashions from H. Edwards and Co.; Carolyn Gilbert and Elle Ray, who modeled clothes from Look’n for Linda; and Betty Dresher and Jacque Weston, who wore outfits from Talbot’s.
Belk Lancome counter specialists Sandy Hemingway and Kathy Odom provided make-up.
Donna Dacre was the chairman of the fashion show. Her committee included Patty Mattoon, Carol Alexander, Maryann Linville, Pat Groseth, Sandra Presson and Joan Frost.
Club member Betty Worst was the commentator for the fashion show.
Pianist Marge Ceh provided music.
Door prizes were donated by Aqua Seafood Restaurant, the Carolina Hotel dining room, Sweet Basil, Elliott’s, Talamore Golf Club, Foxfire Country Club, Matchplay, Mind and Body Spirit Massage, Natural Way Nail Spa, Aquarius Beauty Salon, Belk, Sandhills Theatre Company, Ely Associates, Kathy Wright, Donna Keyes and the Pinehurst Member’s Club.
