I wonder if this regulation was established sometime around 1895 when this area consisted mostly of beautiful woods and very few residents. Things have changed, and the few remaining lots are being bought up very fast with new home construction going on all around us.
Most of the current residents, even if not ill or elderly, look for periods of peace and quiet. With hammering and power sawing starting at 7 a.m. and at times continuing through dinner, there really is not much chance for quiet relaxing.
I certainly understand and am not against new construction. But more realistic noise abatement hours are in order and would be welcomed by all.
