Good Samaritan

The other morning, my mom decided to take me and my baby sister out for breakfast. We went to McDonalds in Aberdeen.

Well, the card machine wasn’t working, no matter how hard they worked to get it going. Mom was headed out the door to the bank and this man hollered at her, “Hey Lady, bring your kids back. I’ll pay for their breakfast!” And he did just that.

And, boy, were we thankful! We were hungry. He said, “Your kids are hungry. Feed them.” My mom kept thanking him over and over again, and told him there would be stars in his crown. He said he didn’t care about that, he was just doing what the Lord wanted his people to do, and that was to take care of each other.

So my sister and I (and Mom) wanted to thank him again for making two little kids and one mom very happy — and full. We will always remember his yellow shirt and big blue bowtie. Thank you again.
