It Would Be Refreshing If We’d All Stop the Spin

Stop the spin!

In an election year, there are so many spins on so many agendas that a citizen could spin for years on this one year’s worth of hype! This political media circus that has so many agendas with their spins. Please, stop!

It was well said recently by the Marine ground commander for the First Marine Expeditionary Unit, which has the armed terrorists held up in Fallujah, “Turn in your guns, or we are going to use ours!” The terrorists should have no difficulty with interpretive jargon here. Bottomline simple.

The terrorists can do their sneaky, surprising attacks with the camouflaged warriors, disguising bombs in horrendous fashion, but if they do not turn in their guns, we are going to use ours. There is not much spin on that one. Bottom line: Simple. The firing will stop when the guns are in.

Stop the spin — like what was requested at the first public forum meeting at Union Pines High School for the Superintendent Search Committee, i.e. the request for an honest person from Moore County as the next superintendent of schools. Now, there is a bottom line easy to follow. No spin request. Give us a superintendent with integrity who is local. Good luck, by the way.

What a breath of fresh air it would be if our politicians with all their covert agendas and spins on so many issues would communicate as simply as the First Marine Expeditionary Unit Commander stated to the armed terrorists of Fallujah, “Turn in your guns, or we are going to use ours.”
