Central Security Celebrates Anniversary
Central Security Systems and its Sandhills Home Theater Division hosted a Customer Appreciation Breakfast on Saturday, April 26. The company is celebrating its 20th anniversary in business in the Sandhills area. It plans to make the breakfast an annual event as a way of thanking its loyal customers. The company was initially a family enterprise, which installed its first security system in 1983. The company has grown steadily through the past 20 years and now has a staff of 18 full-time and two part-time employees. It recently completed construction of a second building on its property at the corner of Broad Street and Vermont Avenue in Southern Pines. The Sandhills Home Theater Division was formed in 1997. “The Customer Appreciation Breakfast gave us the opportunity to show off our new demonstration theater,” Director John Heimrich said. “Customers were impressed not only with the quality of the home theater experience but also with the plasma TV in the demonstration area.” The inaugural breakfast was a success in spite of the uncertain weather conditions, said Dick Harpster, president. “We planned this event to coincide with SpringFest,” he said. “We wanted to offer our customers a nice breakfast before they ventured down the street to enjoy the other festivities of the day.” Thanks to donations from the company’s suppliers and monitoring services, the company gave away over $1,100 in gift certificates good at local establishments. “We’ll hold this event in conjunction with SpringFest again next year,” Harpster said. |
