Southern Pines High Alumni Plan Reunion
Alumni of Southern Pines High School will hold a reunion for all classes from 1926 to 1969 at the Southern Pines Elks Country Club on July 6-8.
The Holiday Inn will serve as reunion headquarters for registration and an early arrival get-together on Thursday evening. A committee has been busy planning a fun-filled weekend. Events will include a pig picking, golf, tennis, train ride, tours, dinner and dance. This is the only reunion of SPHS that will include every class. The high school was founded in 1897 and closed in 1969.
We have had an outstanding response and attendance is estimated to be around 500 people, said George Little. “It will be a great opportunity to renew old friendships and to make new ones,” he said.
