Scott Martin claimed a first-place finish in the both the 1,600-meter and 3,200-meter runs to help lead the Patriots to their 89-point total.
Jack Britt finished second with 66 points, Scotland third with 54 and Richmond fourth with 41.
With Jordan Rickard taking first place in the 800-meter run, the Patriots got 15 of their total points in that race. Jonathan Stone finished second in the event for Pinecrest, just hundredths of a second behind Rickard’s winning time of 2:06.19.
Stone also had a hand in Pinecrest getting 13 team points in the 1600. With Martin finishing first in a time of 4:45, Stone came in second with a time of 4:47. Sam Franklin finished third for the Patriots in a time of 4:52.
Martin pulled off the tough double in the long distance races with his first in the 3200 in a time of 10:40. Franklin finished second in the event with a time of 10:52.
Stephone Covington added another first place finish for the Pats with 6-foot-0 effort. He was tied for with teammate Kevin Jackson at the same height, but got the win because of fewer misses.
Covington also pulled down a second-place finish in the 200-meter dash.
Jonathan Galbreth completed the Patriots’ string of individual first-place finishes by taking the 300-meter hurdles in a time of 42.37.
Galbreth then teamed with brothers Tim and Chris Jefferson and Chase Williams to finish first in the 1,600-meter relay. The Jeffersons, Williams and Rickard then teamed up to finish first in the 3,200-meter relay in a time of 8:36.34.
Tim Jefferson finished second in the 400-meter dash, just one-tenth of a second behind Jack Britt’s Frye’s winning time of 52.00.
Mark Rhodes added a second-place finish for the Patriots in the triple jump with a leap of 40-0.
The Patriots were scheduled to compete at Union Pines Tuesday (weather permitting) before returning to the conference schedule with a four-team meet at Reid Ross School in Fayetteville Thursday.
