CCNC Garden Club Provides Plantings

Hospice administrators and nurses enjoy the recent landscape plantings provided by the Garden Club of the Country Club of North Carolina. The plantings of holly trees screen the side entrance to the building on Aviemore Drive allowing a private walkway to the Hospice grief consulting center entrance.

In additions to the hollies and some clearing around the side patio, two Leyland cypress were planted next to the three large cypress that were donated eight years ago by CCNC Garden club. These existing large trees are used for the “Light up a Life” program at Christmas, and the new trees will provide additional space for the next lighting.

CCNC Garden club is dedicated to the enhancement and betterment of the community and in addition to Hospice has donated plantings to Habitat for Humanity of Moore County, Sandhills Community College Horticulture Department Scholarship Fund, Christmas decorations for St. Joseph of the Pines Hospital, Pinehurst Given Library, and Weymouth Christmas House.

They have planted trees on community sites in commemoration of Arbor Day and are a supporting member of Sandhills Council of Garden Clubs.

In support of the Garden Club of North Carolina, Inc,.’s Tomorrow’s Legacy Projects, they have also contributed to the Daniel Boone Native Gardens, The Elizabethan Gardens and the Martha Franck Fragrance Garden for the Blind.
