Vikings Sweep Trinity, Pine Forest in Tennis

Union Pines boys’ tennis team has yet to lose a set in beginning the season with two consecutive 9-0 wins.

Last Wednesday, the Vikings traveled to Trinity to pick up their first win of the season and their first Tri-County Conference win. Thursday, they went out of conference and defeated Pine Forest in a home match.

Devon Graham picked up four wins in the two matches, improving to 91-31 in his career at the school. He is ranked 26th on the school’s win list.

Fellow senior Danny Strobel also picked up four wins over the course of the week, moving to 72-21 for his career at the school.

The Vikings will return to conference action when they travel to High Point Central on Monday.
