NM Soccer Begins Play On Tuesday

The North Moore High School girls’ soccer team has been busy for the past three weeks preparing for its season opener on Tuesday at home against West Montgomery High School. Game time is 6:30 p.m.

Charles Purvis, Mustang coach, has 18 players on the roster this year.

Senior members of the team are Carla Purvis, Lupe Rodriguez and Naye Ramirez. Whitney Richardson, Elizabeth Stewart, Rocio DeLoya and Jenny Kerns represent the junior class.

Naomi Miller is the only sophomore on the team.

The roster is rounded out by freshmen Christy Hancock, Ashley Powers, Amber Medlin, Cory Wright, Courtney Dunlap, D. D. Loudenslagger, Hannah Thomas, Sandy Boles, Sherry Ross and Claudia Wilson.

Purvis will be assisted in his coaching duties by James Horworth this year.

March 9 — West Montgomery; 15 — at West Montgomery; 16 — Greystone; 22 — at Union Pines; 23 — Hoke County; 31 — at South Davidson.

April 5 — Jordan Matthews; 7 — at South Stanly; 14 — at Albemarle; 19 — West Davidson; 21 — South Davidson; 26 — at Jordan-Matthews; 28 — South Stanly.

May 3 — Albemarle.
