Sherwin Williams Hosts Student Art
CONTRIBUTED
“My first spurt of artistic growth occurred during the end of elementary school. I enjoyed drawing, in fact I drew all the time,” said Stephen Parton, a 12th grade student of Wilbert Davis, at Pinecrest High School.
“As I entered high school, I became more and more aware of the different techniques and styles used by the Great Masters. Portraits became my inspiration. I loved drawing faces and discovered that I was rather good at it. I kept at it using many techniques from colored pencils to ink, and soon after that found about pointillism. Now I am continuing in art as an Advanced Placement Student in my senior year. I’m undecided at which college I will attend but I will Major in Art and Minor in Music.”
Stephen is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Tim Parton of West End. |
