“We’re off to a good start,” Viking coach John Frye said. “We have some good competition in the conference this year so we’ll see how it plays out.”
With the wins, the Vikings improved to 4-0 ovzerall and 3-0 in the conference.
Josh Kelly won four times in the two matches to join the exclusive 100-win club at the school.
He is now 101-15 in his career at the school, becoming just the 24th player in the history of the program to crack the century mark.
He won both his singles matches playing at number two and joined with Danny Strobel to went both doubles matches.
Union Pines continues its conference schedule with a match at Ragsdale on Monday.
