Series on Heart Services Continues Monday

Dr. Ker Boyce, a cardiac electrophysiologist, will speak Monday at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in the latest of a series of programs on heart services offered by FirstHealth of the Carolinas.

The program is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Monday in Monroe Auditorium at the Hospital Conference Center. It is open to the public. Interested persons should call 695-7508 for reservations. Valet parking will be available at 5 p.m.

Boyce is the first cardiac electrophysiologist to join the staff of the HeartFirst Center at Moore Regional Hospital. He has been described as the “electrician,” while the other cardiologists are the “plumbers.”

Boyce has a sub-subspecialty in the management of heart arrhythmias. This includes catheter ablation of fast arrhythmias, implantable defibrillators for treatment of dangerous ventricular arrhythmias, and pacemakers for slow rhythm and congestive heart failure.

The Heart Series is sponsored by the Heart CARE Fund of Moore Regional Hospital Foundation.
