The Business and Professional Women’s Organization (BPW) is sponsoring “Fashion Reflections-Then and Now,” a luncheon/fashion show Saturday, March 24, at the National Golf Club. Social begins at 11:30 a.m. followed by lunch at noon with the show to follow.

Laurie Clowers, WRAL-TV news anchorwoman, will be the guest commentator. Katie Whitley, Miss Moore County, Jamie Smith, pianist, and the “Echoes Trio” will perform during the fashion show. Tickets are $25 and will be available until March 16 by calling Sandra Olbon at 693-1809. A limited number of tickets will be available at the door.

Models include: Katie Whitley, Miss Moore County, Eileen Malan, Cathy Miles, Betsy Cole, Doris Longfellow, Janice Lee, Sandra Rognon, Suzanne Cameron, Pat Castelli, Sandra Blake, Betty Morrison, Sharon Steele, Sonya Strange, Ann Woodward, and Pete Cox and Sam Masten.

Local stores providing fashions for this event are: Helen’s in Whispering Pines, Carolyn’s, Denker Dry Goods, Morgan Miller, The Country Squire, Talbot’s, Brides Etc., The Clothes Horse, and Farrier Supply in Southern Pines, G. Monroe-Gallery Boutique in the Village of Pinehurst, and Lisa’s Boutique in Carthage.

Local merchants donating door prizes include: Frogtown Pottery, Freeman Pottery, Piney Woods Pottery, Burchfields Gallery, Gathering Basket, Curves for Women, Coty, and others.
