Justin Mace collected one hit with an RBI. Cameron Embler, Gabe Gonzalez, Dustin Kavanaugh and Daniel Ritchie all had hits for the A's. Mike Messeria added one hit and scored one run, while Bo Boals scored the other run for the A's.
Cardinals 6, Orioles 4: In a battle of the undefeated, the Cards came out on top in a close game that was not decided until the last out. The O's started the game with four straight hits, scoring three runs in the top of the first. Not to be outdone, the Cards came back to score three in the bottom of the first on four infield hits and a key double to center by Aaron Reimer. Jack Holland and Hunter Morrell each scored two runs, while Brett Long and Olivia Ciccolanti each contributed hits. Matt Eddy led the Orioles' attack by going three for three with three RBIs and a double. Brian Linn went two for two, and Weston Phillips also added two hits. Tyler Barber caught the whole game, tagging two runners out at the plate. Matthew Lacher and Barber each contributed a hit. Phillips pitched four innings for the O's. Long was called on by the Cards to pitch in the last inning, and got the last out with the bases loaded when he fielded the ball and made a play at the plate. With the win, the Cards advanced to the championship game on Saturday.
Diamondbacks 8, Orioles 6: The Diamondbacks won the right to face the Cardinals by scoring two runs in the top of the sixth inning to break a 6-6 deadlock. They then called upon David Capasso to get the last three outs after the first batter reached first in the bottom of the sixth. With three pitches, he got the first two batters to fly out to the shortstop and the last batter to pop up to the second baseman. Justin Mace had two hits and an RBI, while Morgan Van Camp added one hit and an RBI. Capasso and Ryan Smith collected hits for the winners. For the O's, Matt Eddy went two for two with a double and two RBIs. Eddy was intentionally walked to load the bases in the fourth inning. The strategy backfired when Brian Linn singled to knock in a run, and Matthew Lacher followed with a double to score two more. Zach Hrabosky and Weston Phillips had one hit, with both scoring twice. M.J. Wilson also had a hit and scored a run. Allred pitched two innings for the D-Backs and got four strikeouts, while Eddy pitched the last two frames for the O's and recorded five strikeouts.
