Ritz-Craft Plant Ships 100th Home
Six months after opening its modular super plant in Hamlet, Ritz-Craft’s 100th home rolled off the production line at the new 200,000-square-foot plant, the company announced.
The current backlog is five weeks and production increases are forthcoming to maintain a quick-delivery program for Ritz-Craft’s builder network. “The plant has a tremendous capacity to build volume and ensure a quick delivery cycle, and we have enough land to build a second facility of the same size if the market will support it,” said Paul D. John, president and CEO of the company. “The plant has had phenomenal success because of the unique elevations, amenities and marketing services offered by Ritz- Craft. “Many Southern builders have referred other builders and developers to become Ritz-Craft partners after receiving their first home deliveries and seeing the level of quality built into every Ritz-Craft home.” Eric John, vice president of the company, said, “Ritz-Craft features three distinct product lines with 60 standard floor plans, a catalog of over 300 additional plans and will build total custom plans submitted by builders. We started building rounded walls, tray ceilings, nine-foot ceilings and total custom homes from the day the plant started production, because of the outstanding work ethic of the local workforce and our unique hiring and employee training programs.” Paul added, “We invited our builder council to the 100th house ceremony because we wanted to get their feedback concerning how we can continue to build a better partnership and better serve their needs. Builder council meetings are conducted on a regular basis and always provide us with better marketing, service and production ideas to leverage our future growth and better support our partners.” Ritz-Craft Corporation of PA Inc., the North Carolina operation’s parent company, brings over 50 years of manufacturing experience to the Southern housing market. Ritz-Craft Corp. of N.C. has a six-state marketing territory, including Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida and Tennessee. Builders can contact Ron Olson, general manager, or Al Seidel, sales manager, at (866) 870-4857 for more information or to set up a tour of the new manufacturing facility, Design Center and model home display.
