‘Idols of the King’ Offers Story of Elvis’ Devoted Fans

Cape Fear Regional Theatre announces the presentation of “Idols of the King,” a behind-the-scenes look at some of “The King’s” most devoted fans. The play runs June 10-26 at the theater in Fayetteville.

In this two-act play, two actors play multiple characters of fans whose lives were influenced by Elvis Presley. This show comes complete with its very own Elvis impersonator, Jack Foltyn, guaranteeing to thrill old fans, closet fans and newcomers alike. Bo Thorp is the director.

This show is licensed by “Idols of the King, Inc.,” Ronnie Claire Edwards and Allen Crowe. The Elvis impersonator is under license to the Elvis Presley Estate.

Tickets are $23 for Fridays, $25 for Saturdays and $18 for Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays. Show times are 8:15 p.m. Friday and Saturday evenings; 7:30 p.m. Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sunday evenings; and 2 p.m. for Sunday matinees. Discounts of $1 are available for seniors 55 and older, students 18 and under, and active military and their dependents on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sunday matinees and evenings. The box office is open for reservations.
