Re-Elect Morgan: He’s Good For Moore County

Richard Morgan should be re-elected to the N.C. House so that Moore County continues to have a voice in the legislature. Richard is a faithful Republican who has worked tirelessly to make North Carolina and Moore County a better place to live.

Because of his leadership, the Inheritance Tax and the Intangibles Tax have been eliminated. And just this past year, working families were given a child tax credit and the marriage tax penalty was finally removed.

Closer to home, when our resort communities of Seven Lakes and Pinehurst were threatened by the expansion of local commercial swine operations, it was Richard Morgan who authored and attained passage of the most far-reaching environmental legislation ever to preserve and protect the quality of life in Moore County. When school administration officials and Moore County parents asked him to help get turn lanes and signal lights at dangerous intersections, he was there and turn lanes and signal lights were installed.

We need Richard Morgan in the legislature. If his opponent is elected, Moore County will lose its strong voice in Raleigh. She is sponsored and financed by the same disgruntled group of Republicans from Wake County who oppose Richard because he was able to form a workable coalition with House Democrats to advance the best interests of North Carolina. She will be expected to kowtow to the party line, no matter how absurd, and vote the way they tell her. Moore County and North Carolina will lose an effective Republican leader.
