Don’t Slander the Prez

The first two letters of the June 4 issue of The Pilot made me sick at my stomach.

One was by J. Waugh, who had the gall to slander our president in the most unflattering words. I hope his grandkids will never think as he does about “any president” of the United States of America. He called the president “a dopey, simplistic, cheerleading, money-raising puppet!” Why would you put such a degrading letter in print?

The second letter by a “Rev. Jones” contains outright lies. He stated some “facts” which are totally untrue. Talking about the military “shock and awe,” he wonders if people of Iraqi want to die “or not, especially those thousands of innocent men, women and children who have already died at the hands of U.S.”

That statement is garbage and blatantly false. How can a person of the cloth tell such lies? Better go to confession, Sir! I certainly will not judge you, but our God certainly will!
