Symphony Continues Summerfest

The North Carolina Symphony’s always popular concerts under the pines are back as Summerfest lights up the night at Cary’s Amphitheatre at Regency Park. This season promises to be one of the best yet. The Triangle’s favorite concerts under the stars feature the incomparable k.d. lang and Broadway superstar Terrence Mann in “From Hair to Hairspray: A Generation of Rock Musicals.” In addition, the Independence Day concert and fireworks along with evenings of hot-blooded Gypsy music, movie scores and more create pure summer magic.

Located at the edge of Symphony Lake, the Amphitheatre is surrounded by a beautiful, natural wooded setting, perfect for a summer night of musical enchantment. The majority of the seating is on the open lawn, although a covered VIP section at the rear of the site provides tables and chairs for off-the-ground picnicking.

The facility accommodates about 7000 people and is a warm-weather favorite of everyone who enjoys superb orchestral music and extraordinary guest artists in a relaxed, yet acoustically ideal atmosphere. All concerts begin at 7:30 p.m. with Associate Conductor and Summerfest Artistic Director William Henry Curry conducting, unless noted otherwise. Come early, come often, bring your family, your picnic basket and enjoy the beautiful surroundings! See concert listings below for more details.
