Summer Schedule
Beginning Sunday, June 6, Community Presbyterian Church in Pinehurst will go to a summer worship schedule.
The times are as follows: 9 a.m., traditional worship in the sanctuary; 10 a.m., Sunday School; 11 a.m., contemporary service in the fellowship hall.

Gospel Sing
The 105 Co. B National Guard Unit (in Iraq) Auxiliary will host a gospel music sing on Saturday, June 19 at 6:30 p.m. at the Cole Auditorium in Hamlet.
The featured group will be “Mended Wings,” a professional Southern gospel trio, along with “Mountain Creek,” which does bluegrass gospel and “Homeward Bound,” a mixed quartet.
All proceeds will go to help with sending items to the troops and with family hardship cases.

Cameron Baptist Church was established in 1854 as Cranes Creek Baptist Church and moved to the town of Cameron in 1892.
Several area churches have their roots in this congregation including Red Hill Baptist, Piney Wood Baptist and Deep Creek Missionary Baptist.

Bible Study
Community Bible Study is an international organization. Its daytime class is open to all women who are interested in learning more about the Bible. This non-denominational study meets on Tuesday mornings from 9:15 to 11:15 at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Southern Pines.
The 2004/2005 class goes from September to May. Registration for next year is starting now. There are classes for small children with crafts and Bible stories, and a nursery for babies.

General Conference
A Wealthy Place Deliverance Center’s Fourth Annual General Conference will be held on June 9-13 at 7:30 p.m. at the church, 839 S. Main St., Star.
