I can remember a time when you identified yourself by giving your name, and possibly an address -- no problem.

Nowadays it's an entirely different story, with rampant identity theft, terrorists invading the country, counterfeit Social Security cards and driver's licenses available, etc.

There has come a time when we desperately need counterfeit-proof national identity cards which would possibly include photo, fingerprint, DNA, or whatever would make them impossible to duplicate.

I am contacting my Congressman and Senators, and I urge everyone to do so at their earliest convenience or sooner.
