Truck Crash Kills Woman
A West End woman died in a single-vehicle accident Friday night on N.C. 211 near Seven Lakes, according to the State Highway Patrol.
Christina Spivey Van Deveer, 30, was traveling southeast in a white Chevrolet pickup that was pulling a trailer. The trailer apparently caused the truck to swerve out of control, the report said.
The truck ran off the right side of the road and struck several trees. It overturned, striking several more trees, according to the report.
The accident happened at 6:50 p.m. about 2.5 miles southeast of West End, near the intersection of Deadman's Curve.
No other details on the accident were available Saturday afternoon.
